Some things are made to be used once and forgotten. And then there are the other kind — the things made slowly, by hand, with care, meant to outlast the people who made them.
That's what we've always believed about textiles.
We're a family from Konya, Turkey — a city in the heart of Anatolia with one of the oldest textile traditions in the world. Konya has been a center of weaving, dyeing, and craftsmanship for centuries. Growing up here, surrounded by kilims and handwoven fabrics, we didn't think of them as products. They were just part of life — on the floors, on the walls, folded in chests, passed between generations.
In 2010, we started sharing that world with others. What began as a small family operation — sourcing pieces we genuinely loved, photographing them ourselves, shipping them one by one — has grown into something we're deeply proud of. Today, our collection reaches customers across the United States, Europe, Australia, and beyond. But the way we work hasn't changed much.
Every piece in our collection is handpicked. We source vintage and antique kilim rugs, hand-knotted pile rugs, ikat velvet pillow covers, suzani wall hangings, and yastik pieces — mostly from Turkey and Uzbekistan, two of the great textile traditions of the world.
We don't sell mass-produced goods. We don't work with factories. Everything we offer was made by hand, often decades ago, by weavers working on traditional looms using natural wool and vegetable dyes. Some of our pieces are 30 years old. Some are closer to 80. All of them carry something that no machine-made rug ever will: the evidence of the hands that made them.
When you buy from us, you're not just buying a rug or a pillow cover. You're bringing home a piece of a culture — one that's been weaving meaning into fabric for longer than most countries have existed.
Our workshop is in Konya, where our team hand-sews pillow covers and prepares each piece for shipping. We work with FedEx and DHL to deliver worldwide, and we take care with every order — tissue-wrapped, carefully packed, ready to arrive as something special.
We're also based in Istanbul, where we source, restore, and photograph many of our pieces. Istanbul sits at the crossroads of East and West, and for a business built on the textiles of that intersection, there's no better place to be.
Handmade textiles are disappearing. The weavers who make them are aging, and fewer young people are learning the craft. Every vintage kilim or suzani that ends up in a landfill — because someone didn't know what they had, or didn't know where to find a buyer who valued it — is a small, irreversible loss.
We think about that. Finding these pieces, caring for them, and connecting them with people who will love them feels like more than a business. It feels like a responsibility.
When a customer sends us a photo of a kilim runner in their hallway, or a suzani draped over their bed, and tells us it's the most beautiful thing in their home — that's why we do this.
We love hearing from customers — questions about pieces, help finding the right size, requests for something specific. We're a small team and we respond personally.
