At Vintage Pillows Store, we want you to love your purchase. Because every item we sell is a one-of-a-kind handmade vintage textile, we carefully inspect and photograph each piece before it ships. If something isn't right, we're here to help.

1. Return Window

You may request a return within 14 calendar days from the date your order is delivered (based on the tracking confirmation). Requests submitted after this period cannot be accepted.

2. How to Request a Return (RMA Process)

Before sending any item back, you must contact us first to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Items returned without prior approval will not be accepted.

To request a return, email us at contact@vintagepillowsstore.com within 14 days of delivery, including:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • Reason for return
  • Photos of the item (required for any condition-related concerns)

We will reply within 1-2 business days with return instructions and the return address.

3. Condition Requirements

To be eligible for a refund, items must be returned:

  • In the same condition as received — unused, unwashed, and free of odors (including smoke, perfume, and pet dander)
  • In the original packaging when possible
  • With all original tags and documentation included

Items returned damaged, soiled, or altered will be refused and returned to the sender at their expense, or refunded partially at our discretion.

4. Return Shipping

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend:

  • Using a trackable shipping service (DHL, FedEx, UPS)
  • Purchasing shipping insurance for the full value of the item
  • Saving your tracking number until the refund is processed

We are not responsible for items lost, damaged, or delayed in return transit. If a return package is lost without insurance, we cannot issue a refund.

5. International Returns & Customs

Because our items ship from Turkey, returns must be sent back to our Turkey warehouse. For international returns, please:

  • Mark the package as "Returned Goods — Not for Resale" on the commercial invoice and customs form (CN22/CN23)
  • Declare the value as the purchase price
  • Do not ship DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid) — customs fees on returned packages will be deducted from your refund

Failure to follow these customs instructions may result in the package being held, returned to you, or incurring fees that reduce your refund.

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following cannot be returned:

  • Items not reported within 14 days of delivery
  • Items returned without prior RMA authorization
  • Items returned in damaged, washed, or altered condition
  • Gift cards
  • Final sale or clearance items (if marked as such at the time of purchase)

7. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected at our Turkey warehouse, we will notify you by email. Approved refunds are issued within 7 business days of inspection.

Refunds are credited to the original payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.). Depending on your card issuer or bank, it may take an additional 3-10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Refund amount covers:

  • ✅ The item price
  • ✅ Any applicable sales tax
  • ❌ Original shipping costs (non-refundable, except for defective items)
  • ❌ Return shipping costs
  • ❌ Customs duties or import taxes paid by the customer

8. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

We inspect every item before shipment, but if your order arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, we take full responsibility. Please contact us at contact@vintagepillowsstore.com within 7 days of delivery with:

  • Your order number
  • Clear photos of the damage or issue
  • Photos of the shipping packaging

In these cases, we will:

  • Cover return shipping (provide a prepaid label or reimburse), and
  • Offer a full refund, replacement (if available), or store credit at your preference

9. Nature of Vintage & Handmade Items

Every item we sell is a genuine one-of-a-kind vintage or handmade textile. Natural irregularities, minor color variations, small imperfections, and signs of age are inherent characteristics of authentic vintage pieces — not defects. These features are photographed and described in each listing. Returns cannot be accepted for reasons related to the authentic vintage character of the item.

10. Exchanges

Because every item is unique, we do not offer direct exchanges. If you'd like a different item, please return the original for a refund and place a new order.

11. Order Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase, provided the item has not yet shipped. To cancel, email us at contact@vintagepillowsstore.com as soon as possible with your order number. Once an order has shipped, our standard return policy applies.

Do not ship returns without first obtaining RMA approval — unauthorized returns cannot be processed.
